Today I want to get into the first 10 of my #ittybittygoals and explain why I chose them and how I plan to reach them.
This is a bit of a long post so bear with me, or skip to the end of the post to see how you can easily track your goals on your iPhone. I even mad a video just for you guys. Mwah!
1. Throw a house warming party
Throwing parties is not my thing. I don’t even like attending them, really. So pushing myself to throw a house warming party is a way of pushing my own boundaries a bit.
I’m warning you guys: This may turn out to be a three person party or something but to me that still counts. ;)
2. Read the Hunger Games trilogy
I love reading but since I have the attention span of a gold fish it’s just not happening for me lately. I just need to pick up a book every now and then, guys. And if I don’t make a point to do it nothing happens.
Honestly, I’m also dying to know what the third book of The Hunger Games trilogy will be like. I really like the movies.
Right now I’m at the beginning of the first book (3% of the whole trilogy, my Kindle app says) and the writing is just up my alley.
PS. The instant gratification of e-book shopping on Amazon and getting to read it right away on my phone or iPad is amazeballs. Can’t beat that.
3. Have my parents over for dinner
They’ve fed me lots. I should be able to make something delish for them, right?
I do get nervous about it though ’cause my dad is an amazing cook.
4. Finish the Find Your Voice class
I started the Find Your Voice class by the lovely Kristin Tweedale but made it too complicated for myself to work on – and my base was a mini album I didn’t really love. I wanna start over and finish this ’cause I really liked it a lot.
5. Finish the You Go Girl class
I think I did actually finish the You Go Girl class by Kara Haupt but never shared it. I’m gonna locate this mini, finish it if needed and post it here to share with you.
6. Create and sell mini album covers
It’s kind of embarrasing how long I’ve been meaning to make either wood or acryllic mini albums. It’s been over a year at least. I even have some album designs hidden away in folders on my computer but I never decided on anything or took the final steps.
7. Launch my branding stamp venture
I love creating my own stamp designs but I’d like to get more into custom stamps. A bunch of my orders are actually custom pieces so I’d love to create a site with all the info on the possibilities of using stamps in your branding. It’s my passion and I’d love to highlight it even more.
8. Finish something knitted (a square doesn’t count)
No plan for this yet. Maybe I can knit something for Ada (small is good) or try that arm-knitting Kellie’s been talking about.
9. Sew 5 costumes for Ada
There’s a ton of doable and ultra cute kids’ costumes on Pinterest, but mostly it should be something Ada will love and that isn’t too fragile.
I’m thinking something from Star Wars (old-school but awesome site with all notable costumes from all Star Wars films), a few Disney princesses and some animal costumes too, maybe? We’ll see. I love sewing even though I’m kinda terrible at it. It’s a challenge that I love taking on and it makes me feel so crafty.
10. Finish my Beautiful Things album
I’ve been writing about some of the beautiful little (and big) things in life and I want to gather those bits in an album. First, I wanna write some more, though.
What the album will be like (size and style) and yet to be determined. But I can’t wait to get started (and – who are we kidding – start shopping for it too)!
Tracking your goals on iPhone
Tracking goals on your iPhone is so easy. You don’t need any fancy apps, just look in the video below.
This way you can use the Reminders app to track goals on a separate to-do list that doesn’t interfere with your regular to-do list. You can also utilize the great features in Reminders when working towards your goals, such as pop-up notifications on certain dates or in certain places. So so cool. :)
(Sorry for the muffled sound in this video. I did everything like I usually do so I have no idea why it sounds so low and strange.)
Coming up: A Filofax printable to track your goals
Next week I’ll be sharing a lovely little printable to put in your Filofax and keep track of your goals.
Remember, we’re not trying to finish all this ASAP. This is long-term and no-pressure, so we need our little reminders planted around us to keep us on track and motivated!
Subscribe to my blog if you wanna be sure not to miss out on that Filofax printable and everything else coming up.
Have you come up with any small goals you’d like to reach? Tell me below or on Instagram using #ittybittygoals. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you soon.
