Hey people. I’m sharing a layout today that I made for absolutely no reason other than I wanted to. Ah, that felt nice. :D I’m working hard at the Just Add Watercolor online class so it’s nice to just create something without having a checklist of stuff to follow and take pictures throughout the proces. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to doing tutorial like photos. I take waaay to many photos of my proces.
Nuff about that. :) Onto the layout.
It’s just me and my girl having a bagel and a drink in Odense Zoo, which is apparently the no. 1 zoo in Europe according to some organisation that awards these things. I haven’t been to many zoos outside of Denmark, but I tend to agree. It’s a VERY lovely zoo and now that my girl is almost 3 years old she’s getting so much more from our visits there.
I went there with her both when she was almost 1, almost 2 and now almost 3 years old. It’s where she had her first ice cream ever.
And I love that you can bring your own food to the park to enjoy. I make a hell of a bagel, if I do say so myself. The stamps used in the layout are The Good Stuff from Stromsvigt. I adore those plus sign outlines.
The title and journaling aren’t really about the zoo, actually. It’s about how lovely a summer we’ve had so far and all the stuff we’ve done. And even though this isn’t a project for Just Add Watercolor, a little bit of watercolor did creep in on the journaling tag. I gave it a wash of green and blasted it with a heat gun to straighten it out again and also because I’m impatient. ;) I used my lovely Stabilo point 88 pen in 96 dark gray. Those Stabilo pens are fast becoming an obsession of mine.
As a new feature, here’s a list of some of the scrappy products I used in the layout.
The above links are affilliate links and you can support me and my blog by using them when you go shopping on Two Peas. You can also use the general Two Peas link in the sidebar. I put a lot of time and effort into this blog so I thought I might as well make a little bit of money from it if possible. The best thing is that I won’t cost you anything extra. So thank you if you decide to shop through my links and thank you also if you don’t. I’m happy just to have you here. :)
Now back to the subject of summer.
Have you done anything awesome yet this summer? Feel free to share blog posts and links to layouts in the comments.
Thanks for stopping by!
What an adorable photo and such cute layers on your layout!
