Hey paper nerd!
This December is completely ridiculous – so much work. And I feel super duper pregnant.
I also feel like every blog post lately has been very ‘I’m so pregnant!’ and I’m not a fan of that … It’s just my reality so bear with me once more.
Being increasingly exhausted while trying to get everything done before Christmas is a race I can’t win. But I’m trying to keep up. How are you doing this December? I hope you’re able to enjoy it fully. :)
Speaking of ‘how are you doing’ – for this month’s crafting challenge I want to see what you’re up to right now. Create a “me right now” project and share in the link-up for a chance to win. I wanna see what you’re up to and how you’re doing!
Let’s take a closer look at the layout I created for the December 12 in 14 challenge.
So uhm. That’s totally me in my undies. It doesn’t bother me much to share ’cause all I really see is the belly. One of the most beautiful things in the world is the female body, in all it’s forms, so I definitely wanted to document this moment in time.
Maybe I’m just sentimental (hormonal) ’cause I’m thinking a lot about that spark of life and how women carry and nurture and grow this tiny spark within them. It’s beyond magic. It’s miraculous.
I went for a different kind of color scheme this time than I usually do. I also went bold with patterns, stamping and alphas.
I wanted the layout to feel very graphic and strong with lots of straight lines and angles and navy blue. And then added some contrast with the soft pinks and feathers (one of my all time fave patterned papers by October Afternoon).
I added one of my Good Words cards to the layout as well. I love the simple and understated quotes. Sometimes the words just need to speak for themselves – no embellishment, no pow.

And the November winner is…
Big congrats, Lisa, and thanks for sharing two lovely projects this month. :) You guys NEED to see the second one: A beautiful black and white themed Project Life spread. So good! And quite a clever way to up your chances for being drawn as a winner! ;) I’ll get in touch with you via email, Lisa.
Thanks to everyone who participated! I’m so grateful that you want to play along.
12 in 15?
Before I go I want to share that there will in fact be brand new challenges and prizes on the blog in all of 2015. It’s gonna be an exciting year and I want to try new things, new projects and be even more crafty and messy. :)
I hope you’ll join me.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!
xo Nina
Oh happy day!!
The female body is certainly an amazing thing. We are given the ability to grow a little person and carry it and support it, with no real help from anything but our own bodies, for nine months. And then, bam, you have a baby. A little human, that you made!
Love the colors you used – orange and blue are fantastic together!
