We’re already two weeks into 2014. Crazy!
So far so good with Project Life. I’ve managed to keep it up by printing as I go during the week. Not the optimal way to do it since I kind of ran out of room for photos from the weekend but I’ll live. The events were added in the journaling.
Let’s take a look at the spread for week 2.
My plan was to do just one page per week, not a spread. I already see that I need to adjust that. I really need the space. I dislike everything being crammed in there with no filler and little opportunity to admire the pretty papers. As much as Project Life is about photos and journaling, for me it’s also very much about using my favourite products and papers. I take great pleasure in that.
So I added a little insert to make enough room this week. Next week I’ll definitely do a spread. Let’s use up those PL cards, right?
As per my plan for 2014 I used a Week Numbers card, a Good Words card and a Currently List card this week as well. While I feel like I’m getting better at journaling I still love the Good Words for adding quick and meaningful sentiments and the Currently Cards for those details we tend to forget but are so fun to read later on.
Also, I blasted my Week Number card with a bit of Double Yellow Mr. Huey (see products used at the very bottom) to add some flavor. There’s definitely a ‘pop of yellow’ theme here.
I added more printed journaling. I really love recapping the week like that.
As you see below I stick a lot of my embellishments on top of my page protectors. Most non-flat things will go on top of the page protector. I love doing that instead of adding the bulky stuff directly to the cards. That way the plastic doesn’t bulge and glare up as much.
By the way, I never knew I loved enamel dots and flair this much. It’s so perfect!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you’ve had a great start to 2014 and Project Life, if you’re doing that.
Ps. Did you enter the 12 in 14 Big title challenge for a chance to win a $10 gift card to my Etsy shop? It’s not too late to join in.
