Hey gang!
I’m sharing two Project Life spreads today.
For week three I used a bunch of the lovely Candy Shop printable 3×4 cards by Rukristin. They were my starting point and the rest was added to compliment it.
As I shared on Instagram, I usually put filler cards and blank journal cards into the page protectors mid-week. It gets me excited to work on it and finish it, and it also gives me a great head start so it’s not too overwhelming come Sunday.
Of course I also add my weekly recurring elements mid-week: The Week Number card (now available in color!) and my Currently List card. Mostly just to make sure I leave room for them. I love having recurring elements week by week.
The Good Words are also part of my weekly Project Life thing but I add them last to make sure the words I pick fit the photos and the vibe that week.
There aren’t a lot of photos in week 3 – not much happened. Already we’re up to our necks in everyday stuff.
Ps. Zing Copper Glitter embossing powder on wood veneer shapes… Yum!
I love how Ada is writing A’s on everything lately. She’s so into spelling her name and does it with such pride and joy. I already saved a bunch of her cute, signed drawings but I wanted to make sure it was recorded in our Project Life album as well.
By the way, I shot all these photos at night with an external flash. It actually worked out pretty well (except for a bit of glare below and some hard-to-correct colors.) But it’s way less stressful than trying to catch a glimpse of daylight right now.
And onto week 4.
I went with a far more muted color palette for week 4. And a total of 5 photos! It doesn’t bother me, though. I’m not taking many photos these days (’cause the apartment’s a mess and the light is awful) but I did get some real gems.
This picture of me and Steffen makes me so happy. We were in the best mood and couldn’t stop smiling and laughing. So I had to take a picture. <3
I also included a Best thing this week Card (black/white version not available for purchase yet) and listed a few things that totally rocked in week 4. That flair is by Rukristin.
Again, Good Words help me get my story across without having to come up with journaling.
Here’s a view of the spread along with an insert (flyers and packaging Steffen brought home from London) inserted in the album. The quality of the Project Life Faux Leather album is to die for but the grey color isn’t really doing it for me. You can see the color there in the top left corner of the photo. I may switch to a spare white faux leather album I have.
…But then it might be too white. Yikes. You don’t want my troubles, man. ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by. And #tgif, am I right?
Here’s to a fabulous weekend.

lovely lovely photos and notes. The idea of using cards instead of journaling is a good one!!
