Art Journaling

Season of Happy Pages | Get Messy Art Journal

Today I’m sharing my Season of Happy pages from the Get Messy Art Journal challenge. Since I don’t share an art journal page on my blog every Thursday anymore I thought doing a round-up like this would be nice.

The Season of Happy was really lovely for me, surprisingly. I say ‘surprisingly’ because I usually create better (or at least faster and more freely) when I’m sad or upset. Probably because that’s when I need to process the most. Happy, positive feelings don’t build up and overwhelm you in the same way negative feelings do. Happy feelings are harder to channel into an artistic expression for me. Are you the same?

Happiness is appreciating what you have and spending your days with the people you love doing the things you love. It’s freedom.

The science of happiness.

Like a cat dragged in from the rain who goes straight back out to do it all over again.

It’s the string that goes between the heart and the mind.

Try not to cry over spilled milk, sweetie.

And don’t beat yourself up if you do cry.

Take pleasure in the rich, random patterns in your life.

Enjoy your body. Use it every way you can. Don’t be afraid of it or what people think of it. It’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wow, I often don’t ‘feel’ the happy pages, but girl, these are powerful. Also – the colors are AMAZING.
You inspire me, N. Thanks for sharing.
