Hey paper nerd!
Lately I feel like I’ve been learning so much about myself as a professional and as a person. Like I’ve mentioned before it’s taken up so much of my time that I haven’t been crafting as much. Creating, yes. Crafting, no.
I don’t mind though. It feels like I’m finally catching up with life. With growing up. I’ll never be totally caught up (believe me – there’ll always be a stubborn teenager hiding in this body and brain of mine) but at least taking responsibility and enjoying it is quite satisfying.
I’m seeing myself in a new light.
This is what my weekly art journaling is about.
Always growing.
Always learning.
I love the contrast between the two pages. One is so neatly stamped, with a single stem of leaves in the middle. So calm. The other is a chaotic, organic mess, but still with heart and positivity.
Looking at this makes me happy.
The flowers I made a while ago while painting with my daughter. They were practice paintings and I didn’t know what to do with them – until now. I cut them out and stuck them to the page. I love the contrast with the delicate florals and the metal staples.
Contrast makes a project work. Not too much contrast, just enough.
The stamp used on the left page is an older design from my shop. It’s sold out but I have lots of other great stamps for art journaling.
Thanks so much for stopping by, friend.
xo Nina
