Hey paper nerd
So what’s this? It looks suspiciously like a December Daily project. Am I really going to attempt documenting December again? After three failed/incomplete years?
Uhm, the answer is yes. So either I’m a slow learner or just seriously optimistic, right? Well, the main reason I’ve decided giving it a go (besides the fact that I love starting new projects) is this:
I’ve become really comfortable with printables + hybrid scrapbooking, and I believe it will make the project way easier to complete.
31 Days Transparent Overlays
I’ve created a big set of printable designs (numbers really) to keep the album cohesive and simple.
I need it to be cohesive otherwise I’ll hate it. I just know that. So I’m going with a overall minty/teal look, sprinkled with black, white, gold and touches of red so it won’t get boring. :)
And I need it to be simple because it’s the only way I’ll be able to finish. I suck at daily projects but I really, really, really want to remember these days.
You can find the 31 Days Transparent Overlays in my shop. Remember, they’re not particularly Christmassy so don’t be afraid to use them in Project Life, 30 Days of Lists and other projects where dates and numbers are essential.
Freebie for you!
I wanna give you all the Big Numbers and Framed Numbers in White to play with – for free.
Download 31 Days Transparent Overlays Freebie in White
You get 31 Big Numbers in White and 31 Framed Numbers in White (in four versions – one for every number position). I’m really bad at math, but that’s a lot of ready-to-use hi-res PNGs! They’re all 4×4 inches but can be scaled down if that’s your jam.
Take a look below at some of the uses I’ve come up with for my December Daily 2014 album. I’ve made journaling cards for each day using the colored Big Numbers, and small 2×2 cards using the Big Numbers as well.
I hope you like the freebie and the full 31 Days Transparent Overlays set too. :)
Have a lovely December and good luck with your documenting!
xo Nina
Ps. December Daily is an annual project invented by Ali Edwards. In the unlikely case you didn’t know. :)
…you’re telling me that these December Daily albums can be 4×4?! That’s news to me, I didn’t even know there were albums that were this small!
Your overlay idea is great, no fuss, just photo, outline, and done. Brilliant!
you rock
Have I ever mentioned how awesome you are?! I have decided in the afternoon of December 1st that I was going to do another round, but that I wanted to make it as simple as possible. These overlays totally fit with my plan: a square, 4×4 mini book. Nina, I think I love you ;)
btw, please tell me you have enough of those alphabet stamps left? They are on my wishlist (and I will be murdered if I buy them myself), but if I don’t get them I’ll be ordering them the day after Christmas (or possibly ordering them sneakily on my phone after all the present are opened…)
XO
