Father’s Day is just around the corner – June 5th for those who are bad at remembering dates, like me.
One thing I’m really good at though, is picking the best guy ever to spend my life with. And the best guy ever deserves a pretty card, don’t you think?
Here are (most of) the things used to create the card.
I also added some yellow tissue paper from my scrap drawer as you may be able to tell from the other photos. Tissue paper is excellent for adding a light extra layer. I ended up not using the candy dots.
The card base is one of these wonderful blank cards from IKEA. Yes, IKEA.
I love you, IKEA.
Anyway, moving on.
Here’s the final card.
Since Steffen reads my blog I can’t tell you what gift I got him for Father’s Day. But I can assure you it’s something deliciously paper nerdy. Nothing but the best for my very best guy.
Happy (Very-Nearly) Father’s Day to all the wonderful daddies, rolemodels and other great guys out there. I don’t know what we’d do without you.

Wow – I really like your card! Great color combo and the watercolor paper is so amazing. Have you selfmade it?
Hi Alexandra. Thank you so much! :)
Yes, it’s a scrap from when I made my son’s baptism invites. I love keeping little scraps and bits like that. It really adds something special and unique to a project.
Hope you’re doing great! xo Nina
You put us all to shame Nina – I haven’t even considered making my fathers day cards.
Yours is fantastic x
This is absolutely gorgeous Nina
