Hey paper nerds.
This weeks messy art journal spread is classic Nina. Paint. A few words. No actual journaling.
I’m having a hard time working out some stuff with my folks, to be perfectly honest, which is basically the theme this week. Not gonna get into that, but you probably know what it’s like.
I’ve discovered (or noticed) that I do all my art journaling in spreads. I don’t think I could just do single pages. Is that weird?
This week I switched from my Moleskine back to my trusty Sodalicious art journal. Frankly, I’m not overly pleased with the Moleskine. The pages are cream, not white, and I really prefer white as my blank canvas. The pages are also quite thin and everything bleeds through. Not amused.
I recommend these Sodalicious art journals for anyone with the same preferences as me. They have cute grey-ish kraft covers and nice, thick pages. And they come in a variety of kick-ass cover designs.
I dunno about the archival qualities but honestly I’m not too concerned about it. I’m not convinced my grand-kids will get a kick out of these. In fact I’m pretty sure they’ll be pissed off at me for passing down so many keepsakes/scrapbooks/weird stuff they gotta sort through and store. :P
ETA: The Sodalicious journals ARE acid and lignin free. Yay!
Thanks for stopping by, babes.
