I’d be a sad crafter if I didn’t have mists. But not everyone feels that way ’cause they can be kinda tricky to get started with. The results can be so random, it’s messy and how do you even make it look good?
I’m gonna cover that and a few tips for total misting newbies in this video. If you have 6 mins, then I have lots to tell you about the basics of spray inks. Enjoy!

I used the three techniques to create elements on this layout but they are perfect for art journaling, mini albums or even making your own Project Life cards too.
Bonus tip: If you don’t have spray inks and you wanna give the ‘Open and flick’ splatter technique or the ‘Puddle and dip’ technique a go you can use watercolors or thinned down acrylic paint instead. Just make sure it’s very watery in texture and high on color for the best results.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and feel inspired to get misting!
