Project Life Cards | 12 in 14

Hey paper nerds!

Are you ready for the October scrapbooking challenge? This one is so much fun ’cause it’s so easy to put your own spin on. Maybe you guessed it from my layout… we’ll be using Project Life cards!

I created a pretty straight forward layout: A grid design. Using similar sized elements (especially rectangles) lends themselves very well to grid designs.

I picked out six cards from my huge leftover stash of the Clementine Project Life Core Kit (it’s on sale right now marked down from $29.99 to just $12!) and laid them out.

I knew I wanted to cut some of them smaller so the grid wouldn’t take up too much space on my layout. A little white space does wonders.

I ran my photos through Photoshop and printed them to fit nicely on top of the cards.

Then it was just a matter of building the layout. I misted the white cardstock using Dylusions Lemon Zest, Mr. Huey Boss Lady and Heidi Swapp Color Shine Gold.

That Lemon Zest mist is to die for. It’s so bright and I love it!

I added just a few embellishments and some super messy machine stitching to break up all that order and neatness from the grid.

I’m so pleased with the layers and textures in this layout.

And now it’s time for you to get crafting with your stash of Project Life cards. You absolutely don’t have to use multiple cards in your project, one is enough, but I wanted to really challenge myself. (Turns out it wasn’t even that hard to make it work!)

And just to be clear: The Stabilo pens are not included in the prize. They’re just eye candy in the prize photo. ;)

ETA: The prize has been changed for October due to me being a total boob. Read more here!

Sarah Augustesen! I’m totally blown away by her gorgeous minimalistic layout, so hurry and take a look! Just beautiful. I’ll be in contact with you shortly to send you the prize: All three pretty wall art prints currently available in the Paper Nerd shop.

Thanks to the participants in the September challenge. I’m so happy you’re joining in and challenging yourself. <3

And thanks to you, paper nerd, for stopping by. Good luck in the challenge! And have a wonderful day.

Thanks, Louise! :) This layout really needed that stitching. There’s nothing like it to break up a very neat and orderly page and make it interesting.

Good luck with unpacking and getting back into scrapping! I hope you feel inspired to try the challenge.

Så har jeg linket til et kort med en PL udskæring til Project Life. Jeg håber, at jeg når et layout inden tiden løber ud. Det skal i hvert tilfælde prøves på et tidspunkt.
