Hey paper nerds.
I’m practicing having faith in myself. And not putting way, way too much pressure on myself. It’s so hard.
Here are a few words of encouragement to myself. I love using my art journal for notes-to-self.
Trust her. Then and only then will she prove herself.
Sometime you just gotta trust that what you’re doing is good. And good enough.
I never considered myself a perfectionist – I’m just too lazy or hedonistic to do things perfectly (or maybe that’s just how I label myself ’cause I’m my own worst critic). But I do have high standards that I fail to meet on a regular basis. It’s gotta stop.
So I’m practicing. Any advice for someone who’s always setting the bar too high for herself? Or maybe you’re in the same boat? Do share. <3 Thanks so much for stopping by this week and for taking the time to read. And thanks to everyone who passed by last week and for all the lovely feedback. It means the world to me, it really does. We're all real people and I'm practicing connecting with you guys, too. It's so easy to breeze through and click away. So thanks for your time and kindness. Much love Nina This project is part of the Get Messy Art Journal Challenge created by Caylee and Lauren. You can join too! #getmessyartjournal
Thought-provoking page again this week – I really look forward to seeing what you will be sharing! I love the side view of your journal – the warped pages is a great shot!
I always love your pages. I think getting older has helped me realize that trying was enough. I think trusting yourself is the best place to start:)
I love this Nina! I love that you share your page and then the story behind the page and the meaning to you.
Your brush script is amazing!
I don’t know what to say besides OBSESSED. Love these pages. Have a great weekend! xo Bec
Everything you do looks perfect to me :) I love seeing your art journalling pages x
